We are excited to announce that beginning in February, 2018,
Healthy Kids Pediatrics will be offering telehealth appointments to
all our patients.
These appointments can be done from your office, on the go or
from the comfort of your own home.
Telehealth appointments will be for:

- Lab reviews
- Follow up appointments
- Medication discussions & any advice required
- Chronic conditions and concerns
In the past we have utilized a triage nurse to answer patient
questions. However going forward, we will no longer be answering
questions via phone call but with an actual live video appointment
with one of our providers.
Please note that this includes emails sent to the office. You
may of course send an email with questions to the office and a
telehealth appointment will be scheduled for you.
Please contact your insurance companies to see if telehealth is
a covered benefit with your insurance plan. This is not something
we can check for you, you will have to look into your benefits via
phone call or online.
Telehealth appointments will be billed to your insurance.
If you are a self-pay patient, you will be able to pay for the
appointment online through our epayments section of our patient
portal. (epayments will be available in February).
Dr. Bain and our other providers will NOT be conducting sick or
well child appointments via telehealth. At HKP we believe that we
need to physically be able to see, assess and examine your children
if they are not feeling well, as they may require further testing.
They will, however answer any questions you may have regarding
medications or advice needed via telehealth.
You must have signed up for our patient portal to be able to
have a tele-health appointment. You can download the Healow app to
your phone or can access Healow through the patient portal when it
is time for your appointment.
Please note your child must also have been seen within the last
6 months in our office to be able to conduct a telehealth
appointment.
